Sewn w/ Love

Hello Everyone!!!

It's been a crazy new year so far for me with work all day everyday pretty much. I got to play catch up in blogland with all your awesome creativity which is a happy place for me that I don't know if I can keep up as usual...LOL. I just wanted to share some sewn things that I absolutely adore and love.

So first up of course, is a hello kitty robe...=) My sister was back in town so she took my mom to the fabric district in downtown and made this!! It is so super soft and keeps me warm to the touch =) I didn't expect this at all and was so happy when my mom made it for me =) She cut everything from scratch too! Wished I have the sewing talent...maybe it will peek out of me someday hehe.

Here is a close up of the print =D

Next up, an apron for me to cook in =D My friend since Middle School has sewn this for me and it is so super cute and looks like a dress literally when worn. Sorry for my bad pictures will need to work on that...Her work is so amazing as I have seen the things she has sewn and knit for her 2 adorable daughters...makes me want to go back in the care free days hehe.

Here is a more close up of the details and print of the apron =)

Happy New Year

Hello Everyone!

It's 2013!!! Hope you all had an eventful 2012 and had a great start to 2013 already!  Just wanted to share a painting that I have done with a group of friends in El Segundo at Vintage Canvas!  We all painted for the first time and it was definitely nerve wrecking when it comes to Paris which is the image below.  Of course, some wine and crackers sure helped bring out our creativity...LOL We had an instructor that walked us through each step and before you know it...we were artists in 3 hours =D I would definitely come back as they have many more art that I would like to fill my walls at home. The painting is on a 16x20 canvas and use water based paint.  This one will definitely be in my craft room for my inspiration =P

Here is the inspiration quote for the night!

This was a finished sample of what our art would look like =)

Below is my take so far on painting...

And there is me with my palette of colors...LOL

And...TAH DAH! Our Masterpieces making it something of our own!

Merry Christmas

Morning!

Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is cozied up in their pajamas, sipping on hot chocolate, and opening presents around the tree!  I had a bunch of coasters sitting around so I decided to finally put them to use. So I turned them into holiday coasters to hang for Halloween and Christmas!

Below, I used Holiday Anya 2 from TGF. The christmas tree is from a stamp set I got from Michael's. The red ribbon is a lil pleated. I added these gems that I got quite a while back to make the tree sparkle and topped it off with a star punch.

Here is the Halloween side using Skeleton Ian (digi) and sticker embellishments also from Micheals.  The ribbon I used here is black sheer.

Below are close ups of each coaster =) I had brads that were ordered online since they don't have that size at Michael's or Joann's and bind it to the coaster with the Crop-A-Dile.  The letters were cut out using the cricut.

Christmas Eve

Hello Everyone!!

It's Christmas Eve...can you believe it?! I sure can't tell where the time has been all this time...but very excited for what the meaning of Christmas has to bring when it comes to family and friends! I have been a busy elf making sure the joy is surely shared this season with the cards and projects below. I also want to take this moment to wish you all a VERY VERY VERY Merry Christmas and  Happy New Year! Thanks for always dropping by to visit and leaving sweet comments to keep me going. Your support and friendship will never be forgotten and cherished =)

First up are the ikea jars I have filled with mint M&Ms and tied a festive tag to it with a ribbon!

Next, these are some ivory candles also from Ikea that I have personalized with C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Nora. The back, I have a christmas tree from the Cheeky Xmas set.  The candle is a good size for embellishing. It stands about 6 inches tall and about 2.5 inches diameter.

Here are some candles from Michaels which I used Sweet November Fairwees. I used mono to adhesive the ribbon to the bottom of the candle!

Here is how it looks packaged. I used the clear baking bags from Michaels. You can also use celaphane wrapping (not sure if I spelled that right). I used a sentiment from Cheeky Xmas on a spellbinder for the tag.

Below is the front view

Lastly, you can't have christmas without cards...LOL Here are a few that I have made from my stash =)

Card made from punches =)

My tag version card from seeing it on blogland =)

Monkey Diaper Bike

Morning!

Let's change gears a lil from card-making to diaper bikes...LOL I had a co-worker's baby shower and was on her coordinating committee which I was delighted to work with and was put in charge of party favors.  I was keeping the party favors simple but had already in mind to make a diaper bike as her gift =)  I ran across this tutorial that made me itch and even more excited to do as my first time and couldn't wait to start. So my hubby was kind enough to help me shop for the items to put them together since I am a busy bee with work.  I don't like procrastinating but ended up so anyway so had to have him and my lil sister help. They seem to enjoy the results as much as I did so I guess it was nice and worth it with all the work...LOL Ok...enough of the chit chatting, here are my products along with the rest of the team's work to make it a memorable moment for her and hubby.

Above is the banner from dollar tree and balloons are from a co-worker

Here are my party favors topper using the "Wild About You" stampin up set and punches

Here are a bunch of them tied with either a purple or pink ribbon. The candy hearts was ordered from Candy Warehouse

Here are the balloons again from our co-worker and the cute giraffe is from another co-worker
Those pink strings you see on the table are necklaces with pacifiers on them for our baby game!

Look more balloon decor!! Cute huh? Can you tell that her theme is safari? Lol
We even had desserts home made...nom nom nom...so nice to work with a bunch of talented ladies =)

My diaper bike =)

Side view and all items are from target =D

My quick card since I had no time using TGF baby girl set and colored with my color pencils as back up from work =)

Last Secret Sister Swap

Hi There!

I have to say, I got to meet a lot of CRAFT-ASTIC people from joining. It's just so nice to share your creativity and hobby with someone that appreciates it as much as you do! I was a lil sad to know that it will be on hold for now since Kris is not doing it anymore because we have "LIFE" going on. I myself have been challenged with LIFE...which is endless of hours working your real job...LOL.  I will definitely miss it but will for sure keep in touch through blogland =) So decided to make my last SSS count =) I couldn't help but make a calendar box again...they are just so neat as gifts. I used Fumi and AmyR "Be Happy" sentiment set for the one below.  I even made a Crafts-Port with an inside acronym I had made up for this person because she is full of inspiration.  Hope you enjoyed my share and thanks for always dropping by to visit =) I have the calendar template if you are interested to take up the challenge for making this. Just shoot me an email or comment and I'll be sure to send it your way!

2013 Calendar

Hello!

So 2013 is quickly approaching...and I have made this thanks to Annie!  It is such a cute gift idea and the recipient can use it all year long...The calendar is created using excel and sized 3x3 to fit the easel box.  The cabinet compartments are measured at 4x4 and 2x4.  The knobs are made of clear brad gems.  I used thin baby pink and blue ribbon with hot pink hanger clips to clip the calendar on.  The image I used here is Miyono from Sister Sister stamps.  I added a purple butterfly with stickles to finish it off.  I hope you like it and got some mojo brewing to wrap up your 2012 gift ideas!

It says Live a Little Love a Lot :)
