Cupcake Pincushions

Hey Beautiful People! Man, it was so much fun at the Monrovia Family Festival! I was so happy that my Cupcake Bear Pincushions were a main attraction! I personally handmade my little teddy's tummies, which help serve the purpose of a pincushion, but much more than that, it's lightweight so can be taken anywhere, a great conversation piece, and the tummy can be taken out, and one can actually bake with the teddy bear cupcake holders, because it's made out of silicone, and can stand heat up to 450 degrees! I don't know about you, but I know I do tend to get that craving for a sweet, baked treat when I'm crafting! These will be available again at the Monrovia Family Festival this Friday, September 3rd. So please come and join us and thank you all for your awesome support!

Here's 2 pix of my Cupcake Teddy Bear Pincushion creations! Wow, say that 10 times fast! I have dark and light brown/tan teddies, with different 100%cotton fabric that I use and hypoallergenic stuffing, to hold the pins. If you're interested, just let me know, and if you're interested in a certain color that you'd like to see, no worries, just hit me up! I'm selling these cuties for $3, and again, will be up for grabs on Friday, Sept.3rd at the Monrovia Family Festival. Just look for Pixie Boutique!

Bags Galore!

Hello Everyone! First off, I just want to take the time to thank all you great supporters who made this possible.  It was a fun and great premier for us at the farmer's market in Monrovia! Yeah!! Anyhow I would like to share with you the pretty bags we have available.  As you can see all the prints are displayed here and we have 2 types: a tote bag style and the other an everyday bag.  They are both cute and have pockets inside how cool is that? These are all handmade by the way! The totes are for $12 and the bags are $16 so let me know if you are interested in any here.  We can also customize to your preference if interested for the same price.  The bags have different handles if you have noticed...we have a light beige bamboo handle, a brown wood handle, and a large black handle.  All these handles are big enough to carry it at your shoulder =)  All bags has pockets as well I took pictures to show you how they would look like from 2-4 pockets that stretches from one end of the bag to the next.  The bags are pretty standard in size that goes from your arm to a lil below your waist when carried on the shoulder.  Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you at the farmer's market next friday =P

Pixie Purses!

Hi Everyone!
Have you ever had so many craft projects, with markers, stamps, paper, and embellishments, that it was just challenging to carry it all from one place to another??? This is when it dawned on me to make my own Pixie purse! Or rather, a bag, which could hold all my craft projects! I also made it versatile, in which it can also be used for daily use, just like an everyday purse, bag, or tote! It's made out of sturdy cotton fabric. It has two layers-one is  the inside linen layer, and the out-decor layer! The handles are wooden, round handles, which can be held or thrown over your shoulder! I like it when I have the option of having my hands free when crafting! This is the most recent Pixie Purse I made this past weekend, but I'll post more pix of other ones that I have sewn, which have different designs and handles! If you're interested, come visit Kathy and I at the Family Festival in Monrovia, this Friday night, August 27th, from 5pm-9pm! We'll have the many Pixie Purses to choose from, among stamps, and other craft items you see on our blog! Hope to see you all there!!!

This is the fabric that I used. Beautiful rich red,
which really pops out with the black background.

These two pix, show what the bag looks like from the inside and the outside, with the wooden round handles. I know you can't see it, but I ALWAYS add pockets to the inside of the purses, so I know exactly what I want, when I want it! ;)

A Goal Monday!

Morning Everyone! Hopefully you were well rested for the weekend.  I had some time to put together another calendar month and this time it's January.  I decided to do football Ian since it will be SUPERBOWL!!! The background is the field and I added a football sticker to the month from Michael's for emphasis...hehe.  Thanks for stopping by!  Sorry my picture skills aren't the greatest but definitely working on it!

Month of Hearts

Hi there! It's Kathy today.  It's been awhile since I blogged, had so many things going on so hopefully will be able to more now.  I decided to start early on my 2011 calendar since you can never be too early.  What better way to start it with the month of February!!! Isn't it so cute?!? I loved how it came out and am excited for the remainder of the months =)  It will be an Anya and Ian theme for my 2011 calendar.  The one I used here is Flirty Anya from The Greeting Farm.  I punched out hearts using Stampin' Up punches and their designer paper and flared it with ribbon. That's it for now...thanks for stopping by!

Buttons and Magnets

It just dawned on me one day....I was looking for something to give a tote bag I recently sewed, some "mph", which I discovered these really cute buttons and magnets at the local craft store! All you have to do, is just pop out the back, use the template provided to cutout your favorite paper or card stock for a fabulous background, and then use a TGF stamp, and Bam! Instant gratification! You can also design and create your own personalized magnets as well! Just like the projects on Pixie Boutique, this one only takes minutes to create, and can be given as a quick gift anytime for anyone for any occasion! I must warn you though, this particular buttons and magnets project can get pretty addictive!
So let the creative juices flow!

Happy Tuesday!

Hi Everyone! Today will be short and simple.  I made a cute frame for a co-worker buddy of mine that resembles her kids...well close enough...lol She loves purple so decided to incorporate that in as you can see below.  Her son plays basketball and is number 54 so I altered the roll stamp baller from 31 to 54.  I also altered his head since her son did not have curly black hair...=) Was pretty impressed of how it came out.  As for her daughter...she picked WS-Megan because of her attitude pose that reminds her of her daughter.  No alterations done on this one besides flairing her shoes with bows and a heart on her shirt =)

Newbie on the Blog!

I have been wanting to post, yet have not found some time until now! I did a lil something for my lil cousins and would like to share with you.  It's pretty fast and simple! I used precut chipboards, chose a designer paper, cut some scallops from spellbinders with an image from "The Greeting Farm" stamp and picture of choice. And there you go....whoa-lah! I think these are so sentimental and cute to give to someone.  Hopefully it will be handy to you as well someday =) That's it for now so stay tuned and Happy Crafting!

How It All Started...

A crafty friend have been pushing and pushing me for a blog to share my craftiness and here I am finally giving in to this club! It all started when she introduced me to "The Greeting Farm," a crop of rubber stamps taking many hearts away one by one...Over a span of just a few months I am now excited to announce that a crafty colleague and I am able to share this little joy with you through "PIXIE BOUTIQUE" that is a retailer for The Greeting Farm in the Los Angeles area! Stay tuned for our appearance in nearby cities of Pasadena, Monrovia, and West Covina! We will also look into stamp convention shows, so it will be exciting none the less! Feel free to contact me if you are interested in The Greeting Farm’s products in the meantime!
