 Hi All!

It's a lil late...but I want to share the halloween goodies I was able to make for my collegues.  The beanie halloween set from TGF was too cute to not use! I had so much fun making them. Below are some candy treats and pillow boxes I made using them and a few other TGF halloween images. I just embellished them at the end with stickers. Hope you enjoyed viewing them and have a nice weekend!

Be All the Volt You Can Be~!

Hi!!

I have some pillow boxes I made for my co-workers a while back.  I used the light bulb stamp from Some Odd Girl and altered the word to say "Volt" instead of "Love."  I printed the sentiment in the back of the pillow box from the computer and just cut and glue from the picture below. I was so excited to give it to my co-workers so didn't get a chance to take a picture of all the different color variety I made.  It was pretty fun making these with the We R Memory templates that you can get from Michaels.  If you haven't got one already, it is definitely worth while to check them out!  Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend~!

Me Time

Hi!!!

It's been so so so long since I got a chance to blog!! Just wanted to share a frame I did for my crafty friend Annie. I bought an 8x8 frame from Michael's for $1 and embellished it with paper and Me Time Anya from TGF. I distressed everything since it gives such a nice touch to the frame. Loved how it came out! Hope she enjoyed it for her Birthday as much as I had fun making it for her.

As you noticed I haven't really blogged in a while...I am more better with FB (Kathy Dinh) or IG (kdhai) if you want to follow me ;)

BTW...for those who are wanting to meet new crafters and share their creativity, I am coordinating a swap for each month if you are interested! Email me at kdhai@yahoo.com for more details :)

Memories

Hi Everyone,

I made a sympathy card which are so hard to make...I figured to keep it simple with distressing the edges here. The background paper is made from a stamp Leanne has lent me and the sentiment is computer generated since I don't have any stamps for the occasion. The butterfly is a sticker to add a soft touch to the card. This will be handy when there is a need for it in the future. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week ahead!

Happy Be-Latted Bday!

Hello!

Just wanted to share with you a birthday card I made using Latte Anya. She is just the cutest. I tried something different with coloring her hair this time. I did my usual blending and used the chisel tip of the copic marker and drew in lines to define her hair even more. Pretty happy of how it came out. I masked her outfit here also. I added a sticker banner to finish off the card with some flowers and pearls. This has a happy home to go to already so hope they liked it. Thanks for dropping by and have a nice day!

A Lacey Wedding

Morning,

My husband's family had a wedding recently in July. The couple's wedding colors were pastel green and Lavendar so I decided to use those colors for their card. I love using TGF images for weddings because they are oh so cute and I am able to alter the princess stamps around. Here Ian is from the wedding set and Anya is altered with Princess Anya #3 and Princess Anya #4. I cut out purple cardstock and just overlay it with lace and woah lah!!! So beautiful! I love the lace effect, simple yet elegant. I finished it off by adding a sheer ribbon with a rolled lavender rose. The corners are popped with pearls and the heart lace die cut are from CC Designs. Hope you liked the share for today!

Here is what I stamped on the inside of the card

Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Hi There!

Just wanted to share this awesome frame I did for a girlfriend's birthday a month ago. I have always been wanting to make this kind of frame from seeing all of Rosie's awesome takes on it. I used Skyward Anya for this 8x8 frame project. I decided to do a card that fits the center where a picture should be displayed. Loved how this frame turned out. It wasn't as bad as I thought putting it together. Totally want to make more when I get a chance.

Here is the card with distressed edges

Like a Bride

Hello!

Can't believe it's July already and independence day is tomorrow! Anyhow, I made 2 hanging frame sets for my cousins that were getting their 1st communion. I did an all white theme to match the occassion. I remember getting my 1st communion it felt like being a lil bride for the day as we are in white and having a head piece walking down the aisle with our group. Our hair was done and a bit of blush for the cameras...which was so much fun! Let me tell ya, it was so hard to not add color...since I love to use bright vibrant happy colors =D I was very proud of myself how this came out.  Giving it to them and seeing their face expressions are priceless! I used the pricesses set from CC Designs here. I made them both the same layout but altered the princess heads to make it unique. Sorry for the poor picture quality but it was literally finished last minute prior to give it to them and bad lighting.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Independence weekend!

Some more Up Wishes!

Morning!

Happy Friday! It's also Father's day weekend so make sure you acknowlege the father figures in your lives =D I think Up Up Bean is so cute, so had to whip up another birthday card using her. I masked her head bandana here and used the leaf glitter on the balloons instead. I added clouds and stamped the sentiments on it from heidi Swapp here. Hope you like it and have a great weekend!

Thanks!

Morning,

Happy hump day! Here is a Thank You card I made for Renate from Yumi & Fumi Stamps. I used the envelop maker to make the matching paper bow and added pearls. Cool huh? The word thanks is a die cut from paper smooches I think. I cut it on a paper adhesive I bought from Hanko's and glittered on the pink glitter. Had fun making this card hope you enjoyed it too!

Here is a close up of the bow

Here is a close up of Fumi peeking out at you =D

Soak up the Sun!

Morning,

Summer has definitely been here in southern California early! I made this card that is long overdue for Leanne to thank her. I used Summer Fumi here which is so fitting along with the Tiki Surf set from Yumi and Fumi stamps which is now no longer available. I had fun putting together a scene with stickers and a rub on. I used a brown copic chisel tip to dot in the sand surrounding the card. Hope those of you with kids are enjoying it with them off and vacations ahead in full gear!

Up Up Bean Wishes

Hiya!

Just a quick share today. I got a chance to color "Up Up Bean" from the greeting farm stamps here. She is so adorably cute! I masked her balloons and used Martha Stewart leaf glitter to make it look like a party is going on =D The sentiment is from Heidi Swapp that I got from Michael's.

25 years and a Lifetime

Morning!

Is everyone ready for a nice long Memorial weekend?! I know I certainly am...My sister-in-law recently celebrated her 25 year wedding anniversary. It was perfect that Sister Stamps came out the Wedding couple image just in time for me to use =P I went happy with Washi paper and cherry blossoms on this gift I made them. It's pretty much a desk photo stand made from coasters =D

First photo up is the front of the photo stand laying flat. The washi paper are from Hanko Designs I picked up awhile ago at the Stamp in A Hand show. He has the best washi selection and their made from Japan =) The heart shape block is from TGF - Film Die cut. The letters and numbers are from ATS - mini Alphabet & numbers die.

Up next is the inside of the photo stand. I used the Wedding Couple stamp and embellished with cherry blossom stickers. The red washi design at the spine of the photo stand is actually fabric tape. Cool huh? I got it at the Daiso store (They got some neat crafty goodies there for cheap!) I had a postage spellbinder which I cut out and written "Insert Photo Here" and distressed it with red ink on the left.

Next is the back of the stand. I finished it off with the cherry blossom stickers to accent with the white washi paper I have in the background.  I used the washi tape on both sides of the stand in order to cover up the gap it needs to fold nice and snug.

Here is the inside again laid flat =D
Had a lot of fun making this for my sis-in-law. Hope you like my share as much as I enjoyed making it!

Hats off to You!

Hello!!

It's graduation time everywhere!! My husband's niece graduated college and we celebrated this past weekend for her BIG MILESTONE! I was looking for inspiration and came across this awesome card by Jenny from Sister Stamps using Kiyomi. Loved the idea and layout so much...that I cased it with a lil personalization of my own. The school colors are red and black so went with that scheme on my card. The sentiment and background stamps are from Heidi Swapp I have picked up from Michael's. The alphabet die cuts are from ATS. I had a buddy help me do the heart dotted lines by stenciling a small heart shape I had. The graduation hat is a sticker pack I bought from Michael's as well and used red twine to replace the gold tassel it came with.

Here is a closer look at Kiyomi =D
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice remainder of the week!

Bigger and Better Things

Morning!

Made a special card for my co-worker that was leaving. She loves to dance in her other life so I decided to combine it in this card. I used Miss Anya Night Out set. The dress is masked. I generated computer sentiments for this card since I don't have any goodbye sentiments. Turned out pretty decent as I went away from the standard card size. This card circulated around the department so I made extra flaps inside for their words of wisdom and goodbyes to send my co-worker off =D

Challenges:
Farm Fresh Friday

Card from front view
Here is a close up. The sentiment says "You surely will be missed!"
Here is the inside of the card. Looks like a 2 pocket folder with inserts to write on both sides. This is the pre-stage of card =D
Here is the left pocket completed with a sentiment and embellies. It says "Laugh your heart out, dance in the rain, cherish the memories, ignore the pain"
Here is the right side...and the sentiment is a continuation from the left saying "Love and learn, forget and forgive because remember you have only one life to live."

Happy Mom's Day

Morning!

In honor of Mom's Day today...I made a clean and simple card for the occasion.  Used Misaki from sister stamps. Loved the innocence of her chasing birds and being playful! I shaded in a shadow for her foot on the ground can you tell?!? The cherry blossoms are from Stampin Up - Eastern Blooms. That's all for today and enjoy spending time with your mom's! She deserves the special treatment not only today but EVERYDAY =D Take cares and have a great week ahead!

Picture Ornaments

Hello!!

I have lots of pictures to show today. I made 3 picture ornaments for my buddies. There is a heart theme, a cherry blossom, and a sweets theme.  I bought the wood blocks from Joann's and pretty much just cut out design papers with my selection of photos and embellishments to flare each. The paper and photo measures close to 2 inches (1.97 inches).  I used small hooks that you can twist on which can be bought at home depot to add the ribbon string. Below are more details of each. Hope this made you smile and have a great day!

The heart lace above is a punch from Martha Stewart I added light pink pearls to pop it even more.

Here is a photo of me and my buddy Linda. The bow is tied on directly to the hook here.

This is the cherry blossom theme. The letter "S" is the initial of my other buddy. Here the bow is on both sides held down by glue dots.

Here is the front and side view of the ornament.

The back and side of the ornament

Here is the sweets theme. I used sheer creme ribbon for this ornament

Here is a closer look at the cupcakes. It's stickers from Martha Stewart. The flower gems are from the Anaheim convention which I bought a while ago.

Here is the top front view of it.
This is the back of the ornament. I used glue dots to hold down the roses.
